Shake dreams from your hair

“Awake. Shake dreams from your hair. My pretty child, my sweet one. Choose the day and choose the sign of your day. The day’s divinity. First thing you see”. (John Paul Densmore, Jim Morrison).
These lyrics have been with me since I was 15 years old, and had an intense effect on me emotionally. When I started to create this work, the lyrics where not intended as inspiration, but when I finished the piece all I felt from it was “shake dreams from your hair” and I was transported back in time to those first feelings of a deep comfort and peace with the world around me.
